After over ten years with our classic brown bags, it's time for a change. Graphic designer Ryan Irvin with Outside Studio, who is responsible for Hopscotch's branding from the beginning, has reimagined our bags in clean black and white, with colorful geometric accents. It's contemporary! It's more fun! It matches our spaces and our aesthetic more than the old bags did, and we're very happy for the change.
Rest assured, the amount of coffee in the bags is the same as ever, and the quality is better than ever, too. We recently became 100% Direct Trade, working with De La Finca Coffee and their partner farms. From De La Finca: "Through this supply chain model, we not only are able to empower and connect both farmers and roasters but we are also able to reinvest in local coffee growing communities through long-term school projects and initiatives, realizing our long-term vision for sustainable and independent communities."
Our new bags are recyclable #4 LDPE plastic, including the valve and zipper. They're not yet accepted for curbside recycling in Bloomington, but you can return them to Hopscotch and we'll collect them to recycle via TerraCycle. Look for a containers at both our shops. For serious recyclers ONLY!
Alternatively, you can always fill up your own container with bulk beans at our Roastery at 212 N Madison St in Bloomington. Please take advantage of this option!
Thank you for sticking with us, and if you're new ā hi, welcome!
